Compliance with Rwandan Laws and Regulations

All suppliers must conduct their business activities with SHREECOM Ltd in full compliance with the laws and regulations of the Republic of Rwanda. This includes strict adherence to Rwandan antitrust and fair competition laws, ensuring that business practices promote free and fair trade and do not restrict competition. Suppliers are responsible for obtaining all required licenses and permits as mandated by Rwandan authorities to operate legally within the country.

Privacy and Data Protection

Suppliers are required to comply with all Rwandan laws and regulations relating to the privacy of information, protection of personal data, and cross-border data flows. This includes the Rwanda Data Protection and Privacy Law, ensuring all personal data is processed lawfully, securely, and with respect for individual rights.

Trade Compliance

Suppliers must comply with all Rwandan trade controls, as well as applicable export, re-export, and import laws and regulations. Proper documentation and adherence to both national and international standards are required for all transactions within Rwanda.

Business Practices and Ethics

All suppliers must uphold the highest standards of business ethics and comply with Rwandan professional and industry standards. Suppliers and SHREECOM Ltd employees are expected to act with honesty, fairness, and integrity, avoiding any conduct that could be perceived as improper or a conflict of interest, and adhering to all applicable Rwandan laws.

Reporting Violations

Suppliers should promptly report any known or suspected violations of this Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, including breaches of Rwandan laws, rules, regulations, or policies. All reports will be handled confidentially and with discretion, consistent with Rwandan law and SHREECOM’s investigative requirements.

Antitrust and Fair Competition

Suppliers must comply with Rwandan antitrust and fair competition laws. They should promote open competition and avoid practices such as price fixing, bid rigging, market sharing, or other actions that limit competition in Rwanda.

Licensing and Permits

Suppliers are responsible for obtaining and maintaining all licenses and permits required by Rwandan law for their operations.

Business Records and Confidential Information

Suppliers must accurately record all business and financial information in compliance with Rwandan standards, and safeguard confidential information in accordance with legal and contractual obligations.

Conflicts of Interest

Suppliers must avoid any private interests that could conflict with their responsibilities to SHREECOM Ltd. Any actual or potential conflicts should be reported, and SHREECOM will determine the appropriate course of action, in line with Rwandan law.

Fair Dealing and Gifts

Suppliers are expected to deal fairly in all business relationships and avoid taking unfair advantage of others. Gifts and entertainment must not compromise, or appear to compromise, business decision-making and must comply with Rwandan legislation and SHREECOM’s policies.
